Odfjell Academy was established in 2003 in partnership with Wartsila Land and Sea Academy. Strategically located in Subic Bay Freeport, the Academy provides a first class environment for learning and ensures effective implementation of our Company’s Career and Competence Management Programme.
The Academy is set up to continuously improve skills and competencies of our pool of seafarers, through development of in-house and tailor-made training courses according to the defined competence requirements for each shipboard position.
Among the first courses developed was Personal Safety, Safety & Use of Personal Protective Equipment, and Cargo & Cargo Handling.
Today, Odfjell Academy has developed and conducts many courses for various departments and levels. A Course Catalogue listing all courses being offered by the Academy is developed and distributed to all vessels and Odfjell offices.
