The brand new ECT terminal is a joint venture between Odfjell Terminals, Oiltanking and Nuian, a private Iranian investor. Odfjell and Oiltanking each hold 35% of the shares in the terminal, whilst Nuian has a 30% share. ECT is the first privately owned and operated liquid chemical terminal in Iran. The first phase of the terminal has been operational since early January 2010.

The total capacity of the terminal will be 80 000 cbm. In the first phase ECT started with 18 tanks, representing a total capacity of 22 000 cbm.
Tank Capacities:
2 000 cbm – 2 tanks
1 500 cbm – 4 tanks
1 000 cbm – 12 tanks
ECT is connected to Jetty No. 1 in the BIK PETZONE. At this jetty we can handle vessels of 45 000 DWT and a maximum draft of 39.37 ft. There will be four lines from the terminal to the jetty.
