Odfjell Terminals (Jiangyin) Co. Ltd (OTJ) is a joint venture between Odfjell Terminals* (55%) and the Garson Group, Shanghai, China (45%).
At the end of 2007 Odfjell added this modern liquid petrochemical tank terminal to our world wide services. OTJ is located in the Jiangyin Economic Development Zone on the south bank of the Yangtze River, approximately 150 km west of Shanghai and 12 hours sailing by ship from the entrance to the important Yangtze River.
Serving as a logistic hub for upstream Yangtze River petrochemical distribution, the terminal handles numerous different types of products from sea-going ships, barges and road tank trucks. OTJ provides complete terminal services according to high safety and environmental industry standards.
The first phase of OTJ comprises of 22 tanks. The total capacity of the terminal is 99,800 cbm; the stainless steel capacity is 30,000 cbm, spread over seven tanks from 2,000 to 6,000 cbm. Further expansions are being studied. OTJ offers custom bonded storage tanks.
The terminal has the largest jetty on the Yangtze River at its disposal. There are in total eight berths for the handling of deep-sea tankers, coasters or barges. OTJ allows 50,000 dwt ships with a maximum draft of 15 metres alongside. Road tank trucks are handled at the 12 truck stations.
The terminal is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and is CDI-T accredited.
