Oiltanking Odfjell Terminal & Co. LLC, Oman (OOTO) is situated in the petrochemical hub of Sohar Industrial Port, strategically located at the entrance to the Middle East Gulf.
Several world scale petrochemical complexes have recently been established in this port following the desire of the Sultanate of Oman to exploit the nation’s gas reserves and create a strong 'value added process economy' as opposed to an energy export economy.
The first phase of OOTO, operational since late 2008, consists of 1,294,800 cbm of storage over 66 tanks, offering a diverse and flexible terminal facility for storage and handling of chemicals, LPG and petroleum products. The operation has grown steadily since its start up with the latest expansion consisting of 27,300 cbm over 12 chemical tanks completed in July 2012.
The terminal has six modern berths, capable of handling ships from 1,000 up to 107,000 DWT. It also has 'state of the art' infrastructure for handling road tank trucks and iso-tank containers and multiple pipeline connections to the surrounding industry.
Due to the terminal’s strategic location outside the Strait of Hormuz, while only a few hours drive from Dubai, OOTO is ideally located to support trade and cargo flows within the Gulf region as well as export flows from the Middle East to other continents and regions.
OOT is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified.
