AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The position is mainly responsible for developing engaging content for various Odfjell communication channels, supporting the maintenance of a consistent brand across all communication materials, and contributing ideas and creating various content.
TASKS:
The Communications Officer ---
- Develops engaging content for various Odfjell communication channels, internal and external.
- Creates and schedules posts on social media platforms to maintain a consistent and positive online presence.
- Monitors and reviews social media channels for trends, mentions, measurement, and engagement opportunities.
- Assists in planning and organizing events, conferences, and other promotional activities and products.
- Supports maintaining a consistent brand across all communication materials.
- Contributes ideas and creates various content, including written articles, videos, and other multimedia productions.
- Collaborates with different departments to ensure effective communication within the organization.
- Performs other relevant tasks as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master or Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing or related studies
- At least two (2) years’ experience in relevant field
- Designing, photo handling and video editing skills for social media/web, with tools such as Adobe, Canva, InShot or similar applications
- Effective communicator (spoken and written) at all levels
- Works well under pressure, takes ownership of work and ensures exceptional follow-through
- Able to multitask and work independently as well as part of a team
