Back-to-back single observation results for Bow Architect

Once in a while, we hear about vessels receiving one observation from inspections. A vetting result with only one observation from an 18-year-old beauty like Bow Architect? Something to be so proud about!

Bow Architect’s recent CDI inspection was conducted December 11 last year, almost two weeks before the hectic Christmas rush in Callao, Peru. The vessel had less than a week of preparation then, as she sailed from Panama to Peru, where the main focus was maintaining safe operations under high security risk area. Callao is currently under high risk of armed robbery attacks with nearly nine instances recorded in the International Maritime Bureau (IMB) Piracy Report from January to September 2023.

Yet the vessel managed to ace the inspection with only one observation, a feat that left even our CEO Harald Fotland very impressed.

The day after Christmas, Bow Architect registered yet another outstanding result with only one observation in her SIRE inspections from Shell International Trading and Company Limited—truly a vessel’s great gift for the Odfjell community. Fotland sent another congratulatory message just hours after the result was sent:

“You did it again and completed your Shell SIRE in San Antonio with only one observation – I am left speechless!”

Captain Oliver Tongol conveyed his gratitude to all the crew during the general safety meeting:

“This is not the work of the Master alone; this is the result of the collaboration and all the effort and hardwork of the officers and crew. This was all possible because we believe that we can achieve greater heights and deliver the best results possible whether it is vetting or just a normal day-to-day operation.”

Bow Architect is currently underway to the Magellan Strait, the first in her voyage’s history.
