Odfjell is one of the few global shipping companies with a fully integrated operating model. Our ship management department offers complete in-house services, from crewing and QHSSE to technology support and energy-efficiency solutions.

The performance of our operations depends on the condition of our vessels and the expertise of our people at sea and on shore. Managing both to the highest standards is fundamental to delivering safe, reliable and efficient services.

Odfjell Ship Management brings these capabilities together through integrated processes that support every stage of vessel operations. Its responsibilities include crewing, QHSSE, technology and digital innovation, newbuilding, energy efficiency initiatives and technical fleet management. Across a fleet of around 70 vessels, Odfjell provides technical management for approximately 50.

Safety culture

Odfjell transports some of the world’s most hazardous chemicals, making safety and competence fundamental to everything we do. Building and maintaining a world-class safety culture based on IOGP's Life-Saving Rules is our highest priority, reflected in our strong performance in safety, vetting and port state control.

Operational excellence

Health, safety, and security remain fundamental priorities across all Odfjell operations. Our top priority is to provide a safe and secure working environment for our seafarers and onshore employees and to protect our assets and operations.

Compliance

Our fleet complies with all applicable international and national maritime regulations, including those established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Compliance is verified through recognized classification societies and Flag States.

Environmental management system

Our environmental management system is audited several times each year through the Tanker Management Self-Assessment (TMSA) program and reported to OCIMF.
