On July 25, our Brazilian colleagues welcomed a BASF team aboard Flumar Maceió for a visit that had been in preparation for more than three years.

The group explored key areas of our vessel operations, with Capt. Jorge Ulfe, Chief Officer Miguel Ascona, Chief Engineer Adalberto Neto, and the crew guiding them through the Main Engine, Main Deck, Pump Room, and Bridge.

One of the visit’s highlights was the opportunity to step inside a cargo tank, where Capt. Odd and CHO Miguel explained tank cleaning and operational processes directly on site.

Senior Charterer Alexander Abe shared that the BASF team gave highly positive feedback, noting how valuable the experience was in deepening their understanding of loading, discharging, and vessel operations. “A big thank you to everyone who made this visit a success,” he adds.
