This experience fully shows the importance of keeping social distance, wearing masks and following procedures when visitors come on board – and it is just as relevant for us ashore. After departing New York on February 2, Odfjell was informed that the pilot who was on board had later tested positive for Covid-19. The Captain and crew had followed all protective measures, and precautionary tests came back negative.
