The Norwegian embassy in Washington has completed a two-year renovation, and invited Norwegian dignitaries and business leaders to the grand reopening earlier this month – among them COO Harald Fotland.

The inauguration took place on December 8 in the presence of His Royal Highness The Crown Prince of Norway as well as Norway’s minister of Foreign Affairs and a long list of American and Norwegian dignitaries.

The inauguration was followed by a business seminar focusing on sustainability in supply chains and renewable energy. Harald Fotland gave a speech and participated in a panel discussion on behalf of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association (where he is a board representative) and Odfjell.

The seminar attracted more than 100 participants and focused on how the stakeholders can work together to make the supply chains more effective, including the production and transition to greener fuels.
