Kicking off ESG strategy plans at OTUS

Odfjell’s ESG systematics and strategies are in continuous development, with increased attention to assessment and reporting. Recently, a team from OTUS, Corporate and JV partner Northleaf gathered in Houston to kick off the sustainability development plan for Odfjell terminals in USA.

The meeting was an opportunity to present Odfjell’s ESG journey so far, to discuss, gather information and raise awareness about sustainability challenges.

“It was some very valuable days. The work on the sustainability plan for OTUS is progressing well. The management team at OTH has done a lot of great work, and we can share some excellent stories from our terminals on how we integrate sustainability thinking to benefit our customers, employees and society”.

Through interviews and discussions, Jensen and Operational Excellence Manager of Odfjell Terminals, Christophe Mediavilla, gathered good stories, identified improvement opportunities, listed potential KPIs, and conducted an ESG materiality assessment from OTUS and its stakeholders’ perspective. The next step is for the OTUS team to develop the sustainability plan further, in collaboration with Corporate.
