November 9 was game day at the Mansion Sports Box in Makati, Metro Manila, where the OiP Sports Fest 2024 brought together teams from across the Manila office for a day of friendly competition, teamwork, and good laughs.

Organized with the help of Dayo Philippines, a team-building service provider that caters to both local and multinational businesses in the country, the event saw three teams hit the field: Red Team, representing HR, Finance, and Compliance & Competence; the Green Team from Shared Service Centre; and Blue Team from Crewing.

The day kicked off at 8:30 with warm-up exercises and a quick safety briefing. From there, it was on to the main events—classic team-building games with a Filipino twist. From tug-of-war and patintero to beach volleyball and basketball matches for both men and women, the games kept the competition lively and spirits high.

After a well-deserved lunch break, the teams jumped back into action, giving it their all until the final whistle in the afternoon. The day wrapped up with snacks and the much-anticipated awards ceremony.

“Our goal was to create a space where everyone could come together, unwind, and build stronger connections across departments. Seeing everyone’s energy and enthusiasm out there on the court was incredibly rewarding,” shared HR Manager Julie Ann Ignacio. “Events like these remind us that teamwork goes beyond our daily tasks.”

In the end, the Red Team claimed the top spot, with the Green Team in second and the Blue Team in third.

As a reward, the champions received buffet vouchers for one of Manila’s favorite hotpot spots—a delicious way to celebrate a job well done!
