Pilot run of Practical Navigation Shiphandling course completed

The pilot run of the new Practical Navigation Shiphandling course was completed on March 11, 2025. Designed to enhance practical shiphandling skills, the course offers hands-on training in navigation and maneuvering under realistic conditions.

Held onboard M/S Midthordaland in OS, just outside Bergen, the session was conducted in collaboration with Marpro.

Participants included Chief Officers Vetle Høgevold, Christian Dahl, and Robert Sørvik, along with office colleagues Senior Marine Superintendent Eirik Berg, Marine Superintendent Ken Hepsø, and Manager Competence Development Karianne Grønseth. The session was supervised by the latter two. 

Feedback from the participants will help refine the course for future implementation.
