SAFETY4SEA’s GREEN4SEA Awards is an annual event that recognizes “organizations that demonstrated outstanding performance within the scope of fostering green and sustainable shipping.” Among this year’s awards is the Tanker Operator Award, “to be awarded to any ship operator of oil or chemical tankers or gas carriers that demonstrated environmental excellence and performance above average in any aspect of maritime activity”.

Odfjell is shortlisted “for putting sustainability at the heart of its operations.” The other finalists are BW LPG Pte Ltd, Stena Bulk, Synergy Marine Group and Thome Group. All finalists have done significant efforts in protecting the environment, but by putting sustainability at the core of our activities, we are well-positioned to receive this coveted recognition.

But since the winner is decided through online votes, we all need to do some work to put the company in its rightful place as a recognized frontrunner in sustainable shipping. Let us all vote and spread the word so we receive the needed votes to accept the 2021 Tanker Operator Award!

Note: The voting deadline is March 15th.

An encouragement to vote is also posted on our social media channels. Feel free to share!
