After almost two months since she entered the Odfjell fleet, Bow Optima has finally embarked on her maiden voyage. The fourth and final of Odfjell’s newbuilt 49,000 dwt chemical tankers is now underway to Honiara, Solomon Islands.
On June 9, Bow Optima sailed from the Hudong Shipyard in China to Ulsan, South Korea, where she met the rest of her pioneer crew. It was a challenging final phase for Bow Optima, having been met with constant delays due to COVID-19 restrictions.
