Bow Olympus enters the Odfjell fleet

At November 1st, 18:15 local time in Shanghai, Bow Olympus was officially delivered to Odfjell, marking another milestone in our extensive fleet renewal program.

Bow Olympus is the second of Odfjell’s four newbuilt 49,000 dwt chemical tankers. The technically advanced ship is stacked with the latest in equipment and solutions, and is tailor-made for transporting the various liquids and chemicals in the safest, most efficient way.

The four sister ships also deliver leading results in energy-efficiency, marking another step towards a more eco-friendly fleet: The ships consume no more than 21,5 MT/day at 14,0 knots at design condition – and is one of the first series with the NOx emission standard Tier III. These features, in combination with the overall innovative design, recently earned Bow Olympus’ sister ship Bow Orion a nomination as one of three ships shortlisted for the ‘Tanker Ship of the Year’ award

Captain Raymond Gjendemsjo and his crew gather for the flag hoisting as Bow Olympus is officially delivered to Odfjell, November 1st 2019.
