VP Trade Thomas M. Lund spoke on Odfjell's behalf at the ceremony, and said:
"Bow Neptune will join Odfjell’s large fleet of 26,000 dwt vessels, continuing our commitment to technical excellence, operational reliability, and environmental responsibility.
This is a concept and size that has proven to be very successful in our worldwide trading. We have one of the largest fleets in this segment, and it is an important part of the Odfjell fleet and the service we offer to our extensive global customer base.
We are confident Bow Neptune will deliver outstanding performance and contribute to the continued success for our customers and partners.
Odfjell is currently undertaking a significant fleet renewal program with solely Japanese-built chemical vessels. Vessels from Japanese shipyards are the top performers in this category. They are a true testament to the famous tradition of shipbuilding here in Japan – and a key reason why we keep coming back for more."
