Following the decision to sail, our contingency team was mobilized to support the vessel throughout the transit.
The team remained in close contact with the captain, monitored developments, and maintained dialogue with relevant authorities to ensure access to the latest guidance and situational overview.
A representative from the Norwegian NCAGS also participated from our headquarters.
Bow Saga has been in the Middle East Gulf since before February 28. We are relieved that the captain, crew and vessel have safely exited the Middle East Gulf after complex and demanding months.
As said many times, our colleagues on board have handled this with exceptional professionalism, discipline and calm.
Throughout these 115 days, our priority has been the safety and wellbeing of the crew, followed by the safe operation of the vessel. Ship Management/crewing and port captain have supported the crew and vessel operations, a cross-department team has met daily to discuss status and scenarios, and Tankers have kept relevant charterers updated on the developments and opportunities.
Our heightened support level will continue for as long as needed, from both a human and operational perspective.
