Collaborating with NTC for seafarer growth

Internal News | 06.10.2025

Our crewing team in Manila visited the Norwegian Training Center (NTC) to strengthen cooperation on training and development for Odfjell seafarers.

Joining the visit were Manager Competence Development Karianne Grønseth, Manager Crew Planning Marites Villena, Training Officer Saeza Mateo, and Training Coordinator Trixie Gopez. What started as a courtesy call developed into a constructive exchange on both ongoing and future training needs.

The discussion included programs such as NAV PRO, NTC’s navigation and bridge resource management course designed to prepare cadets and officers for modern ship operations. The team also explored opportunities to co-develop new training modules that respond to the evolving requirements of our fleet and industry.

“It’s always inspiring to see how collaboration can spark innovation in maritime education. Big thanks to NTC for the warm welcome and open dialogue,” said Training Officer Saeza Mateo.
