CEO Harald Fotland welcomed the delegation and shared Odfjell’s perspectives on some of the key issues shaping the future of Norwegian shipping.
The conversation covered the need for stable and predictable framework conditions, how Norway can secure the maritime competence it needs, and the link between taxation, investment and long-term ownership. Energy efficiency and biofuels were also discussed as important parts of the green transition.
“Norway's maritime cluster remains one of our greatest strengths. The challenge is making sure it stays that way. Maintaining international competitiveness cannot be taken for granted – it requires stable, predictable policies that support investment, innovation, growth and competence development,” Harald said.
