Empowering collaboration the OPI way

Internal News | 03.11.2025

Odfjell Philippines Inc. (OPI), the manning arm of our Manila office, recently held their first-ever teambuilding event “The OPI Way,” bringing the Crewing Department together for a night of unity, gratitude, and fun.

Led by Crewing Officer Jobby Fabros, the team collaboratively planned every detail—from room assignments to karaoke songs—with the support of OiP President and General Manager Agnes Enesio.

The program opened with a safety briefing by Maritime/Cadetship Administrator Shaun Dioko and Documentation/Liaison Coordinator Raylord Magalonga, followed by a prayer and worship led by Documentation Coordinator Michele Kagalingan. The first session, Gratitude Wall, invited everyone to reflect on what they were thankful for and ended with personalized tote bags filled with tokens of appreciation.

After dinner, the group joined an icebreaker game, ‘How Well Do You Know the Crewing Team’, hosted by Crew & Family Services Team Lead Olive De Vera, sparking laughter and friendly competition.

The next session featured a series of teambuilding challenges, including a tower-building contest—won by the Wonder Girls team—and a ping pong ball relay that tested coordination and teamwork.

The evening concluded with a toast and karaoke session, capping off a memorable day that truly embodied collaboration, connection, and the OPI spirit.
