Manila team joins coastal cleanup drive

Internal News | 06.10.2025

Odfjell colleagues and cadets in Manila joined a coastal cleanup organized by SM Cares, the corporate social responsibility arm of SM Supermalls in the Philippines.

The team collected 20 bags of waste weighing nearly 80 kilos, including plastic bottles, fishing nets, and other discarded items. The activity formed part of a broader campaign to reduce marine pollution and raise awareness about the impact of waste on the ocean.

“It was tiring, but seeing the bags pile up felt rewarding. Together with my colleagues and cadets, we collected 20 bags weighing nearly 80 kilos,” said Maritime/Cadetship Administrator Shaun Dioko.
