OUSA supports ‘Bike Around the Bay’

Internal News | 03.11.2025

Our team in Houston once again joined the Bike Around the Bay fundraiser on October 19, supporting the Galveston Bay Foundation’s efforts to protect and restore the bay.

“Members of the OUSA Community Outreach Committee were up early to man the Odfjell-sponsored breakpoint during this year’s event,” says Port Operator Brittney McGinn. “Our colleagues set up the station and handed out water, snacks, and supplies to the cyclists as they rode past.”

Bike Around the Bay is a two-day, 172-mile cycling event that raises awareness and funds for the conservation of Galveston Bay. The Galveston Bay Foundation (GBF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the bay through education, habitat restoration, and water protection initiatives.

Odfjell USA has been a long-time GBF partner, actively volunteering at annual events such as Bike Around the Bay, Marsh Mania, and Oyster Reef Rebuilding–continuing our shared commitment to a cleaner, healthier environment.
