Flumar honored for contribution to Brazil’s maritime industry

Our subsidiary, Flumar Transporte de Químicos e Gases, was recognized at the first edition of the Navegue + Brasil Awards. The event honors companies that stand out in Brazil’s broad maritime industry, whether by increasing cargo movement, modernizing fleets, improving operational efficiency, or promoting gender equality.

Held in Brasília on October 29 and organized by Brazil’s Ministry of Ports and Airports and Grupo Brasil Export, the ceremony forms part of a broader initiative to strengthen and future-proof the country’s aquaviary transport industry.

“Navigation is at the heart of national logistics, essential to integrate the territory and strengthen Brazil’s competitiveness. Recognized companies show that efficiency, sustainability, and inclusion go hand in hand,” said Silvio Costa Filho, Minister of Ports and Airports.

Awards in 11 categories were announced during the first Navegue + Brasil event.

The award represents a public policy to strengthen the role of Brazilian shipping companies and encourage competitiveness, innovation, and the development and progress of the sector

“We appreciate this initiative to value sea transportation and the maritime industry. Many thanks to the Ministry and Grupo Brasil Export for recognizing our contribution to the maritime sector in Brazil” - Managing Director Flumar, Alessio Contran
