NNOAT secures ISCC certifications and Voka Charter for 2025

Noord Natie Odfjell Antwerp Terminal (NNOAT) has marked two important milestones in sustainability this year. The terminal has successfully obtained both the ISCC PLUS and ISCC EU certifications and has once again been named a laureate of the Voka Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship for 2025. Together, these recognitions reflect a continued commitment to transparency, circular solutions, and long-term responsibility.

The ISCC PLUS certification focuses on circular and bio-based materials outside the scope of EU legislation.  This certification ensures that the recycled and renewable raw materials stored at the terminal are traceable and sustainable throughout the entire supply chain.

ISCC EU, meanwhile, complies with European regulations for sustainable biomass and biofuels. It guarantees that products handled at NNOAT contribute to climate goals while meeting strict environmental standards.

In addition to these certifications, NNOAT has once again received the Voka Sustainable Entrepreneurship Charter. The award follows a positive evaluation of the terminal’s 2024 sustainability actions by an external committee.

Over the past year, NNOAT implemented ten new initiatives aligned with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These actions addressed areas such as energy efficiency, biodiversity, well-being, and education.

Receiving the Voka Charter for 2025 highlights NNOAT’s ability to build on its achievements year after year. By taking measurable actions and linking them to global sustainability objectives, the terminal strengthens its role as a responsible and forward-thinking partner in the Port of Antwerp.

Looking ahead, NNOAT remains committed to implementing another ten sustainability actions in the coming year. With ISCC certifications in place and a renewed Voka Charter, the terminal is well positioned to contribute further to Odfjell’s sustainability goals and the wider circular economy.
