The meeting brought together representatives from Stolt-Nielsen, BW LPG, Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement, SeaSourcing (a joint venture of Anglo-Eastern and Seaspan), and Odfjell to share insights on non-financial reporting and adapting to evolving global regulations. The group focused on practical approaches to compliance with European standards and industry-wide expectations around ESG data, governance, and sustainability.

Chief Sustainability Officer Øistein Jensen emphasized the value of this collaboration: “Our involvement aligns with Odfjell’s commitment to advancing sustainable practices across the maritime industry.
Through industry collaboration and sharing our insights, we aim to shape a more transparent and responsible supply chain, supporting the industry’s collective journey towards greater sustainability and compliance with evolving regulations.”
Odfjell became a member of the UK-run Achilles Maritime Network in 2023. The network now represents over 1,500 ships and serves as a key resource for managing supply chain risk, streamlining ESG data collection, and reducing duplication across clients.
Achilles CEO Paul Stanley described the advisory group as a “powerful platform” for shaping scalable solutions that help the entire sector operate more efficiently and responsibly. BW LPG’s Head of Procurement, Rick Ackermann, echoed this view, calling procurement a strategic lever for sustainability.
As regulatory and stakeholder demands grow, the Achilles network offers a shared solution for verifying, validating, and reporting ESG-related information, supporting companies like Odfjell in building resilient, transparent operations that meet current and future requirements.
