Three Odfjell seafarers awarded for exemplary service in the maritime industry

During two separate maritime events, three outstanding colleagues were celebrated for their remarkable dedication to the maritime industry.

VP Maritime Personnel Svend Foyn-Bruun and Odfjell Philippines, Inc (the manning arm of Odfjell in the Philippines) presented the plaque and gold watch to the following awardees:

Captain Edwin Hernandez started his Odfjell career in 1995, upon embarking on board Bow Leopard as an Ordinary Seaman. During the course of his career, he boarded Bow Panther, Bow Peace, and Bow Querida. With his consistent stellar performance, he rose through the ranks until he was promoted to Chief Officer in 2011. Seven years later in 2018, he assumed the position of Captain, leading Bow Trident. He has since continued to be the dedicated seafarer that he has unfailingly been, always ready to respond to the call of duty.

Motorman Junie Pusidio joined Odfjell in 1998 as a Motorman on board Bow Old Artisana. He also served on board the old Bow Sea, Bow Eagle, NCC Riyad, and Bow Gorgonilla. He remained cooperative and pleasant to work with until he signed off in March 2023 from Bow Sirius, his last vessel before his retirement.

Meanwhile, across the globe in Bergen, Norway, during Fleet Week 2024 on April 4, 2024, Ove Allan Tresvik was awarded a gold medal for his remarkable 30-year journey in the maritime field. Beginning as a wiper aboard the Old Bow Sea in 1984, Tresvik's career has been a testament to dedication and perseverance. From the beginning to his current role as Pumpman on the Bow Star, his journey exemplifies the spirit of resilience and passion within the maritime community.

Congratulations to our colleagues for this recognition, and thank you for your service, dedication and loyalty.
